Everyone and they mama feeling the effects of COVID-19. Some are taking time to allow this Great Pause to be a hard reset on their lives; amidst the crazy, they are finding deep peace in their homes. Others haven’t fared as well, finding themselves overwhelmed and anxious, the uncertainty of tomorrow holding their spirits hostage.

I tend to consider myself the former of the two, but, being human, I’ve contemplated how rapidly we adjusted to this “new norm.” The jarring shift happened so quickly! Suspicion and side-eyes have replaced smiles and, with the powers-that-be arguing with the strength of a thousand toddlers, it would be easy to find one’s self lost, disoriented, adrift.

I ain’t with that shit.

The Pull-Up Sessions project serves as an opportunity to celebrate with those who feel rejuvenated and to uplift those who are in need of emotional fortification. Without question, we are stronger together.

We got some write-ups! Read about the Pull-Up Sessions on Black Stew News or the Atlanta Journal-Consititution.
